Day River Guide

Biography

I have experience with whitewater and outdoor skills from years in Boy Scouts, and I am just doing it recreationally. I’ll be excited to translate that to guiding professionally.

I have always had a deep love for the outdoors. I’ve been hiking, swimming, boating and camping for as long as I can remember. To me, rafting is a perfect combination of thrills and sightseeing; you get the action of the river paired with the beauty of the surrounding environment. It’s a privilege to be able to work in such a setting.

I am an amateur musician (piano and saxophone), and a third-year student in the environmental studies program at the University of Oregon.

I consider myself a halfway decent conversationalist. I enjoy meeting new people and learning about their lives and interests and I always look for ways to connect that with my own life to find common ground with whoever I meet. This trait will hopefully make me a better guide and ensure that my guests have a good experience on the river.
