One of the many great things about rafting on the Rogue River is being able to stay in the historic lodges each night. That is why we have added another day onto our Wild and Scenic Lodge Trips.

These lodges are privately owned and welcome hungry and tired rafters each evening. The lodges are comfortable, clean, rustic, and a cozy place to rest at the end of a day on the river. Dinner and breakfast are prepared at the lodges and are hearty tasty meals.

All the lodges are off the grid and use generator power for evening lighting. Because of the generator, hair dryers and some electric sleep apnea CPAP machines cannot be used.

Orientation: 5:45 pm at Morrisons Lodge the evening before your trip
Trip start: 8:00 am at Morrisons Rogue River Lodge near Galice, Oregon
Stay every night in one of the Downriver lodges
End: 4 pm-5 pm back at Morrisons Rogue River Lodge
What’s Included: All meals, guides, camping gear, lodge night, rafts, transportation to and from river
Not Included: Adult beverages, guide gratuity, government access fees

2023 Multiple Day Raft Trips – All Information

Day 1 Launch Day
Please arrive at Morrisons Rogue River Lodge (8500 Galice Road, Merlin, Oregon – map) by 8:00 am to meet your guides and check in with our office staff. Dry bags that are given out the night before at orientation should be packed and collected by the guides. You will then lock your car and put keys in key storage at Morrisons Rogue River Lodge office.
- 8:45 am – Board bus
- 9:15 am – Arrive at the river and get fitted with life jackets. Trip safety talk
- 10 am – River day with visits to historic sites, a short hike, riverside lunch, and swimming.
- 4 pm – Camp activities, set up camp, read a book, relax, hike, nap, dinner, storytelling, and stargazing.
The Rogue River is blessed with wonderful sandy beaches to camp on while rafting the river. Guides set up a full river kitchen and prepare scrumptious meals while you relax and take in the beauty of this area. Camping on the Rogue lends itself to evenings enjoying star gazing, wildlife viewing, and soaking up the solitude of this life changing adventure. You’re now on river time, forget your watch, and don’t worry… your cell phone won’t ring.
Day 2 Second Day
- 7:00 am – Lots of coffee
- 8:00 am – Breakfast
- 9:30 am – River Day with visits to historic sites, short hikes, a riverside lunch, and swimming.
- 4:00 pm – Camp activities, set up camp, read a book, relax, nap, dinner, storytelling, and stargazing
Day 3 Third Day
- 7:00 am – Lots of coffee
- 8:00 am – Breakfast
- 9:30 am – On the river exploring Zane Grey’s Cabin, the Rogue River Ranch, swimming, riverside lunch, and a water fight or two.
- 4:30 pm – Arrive at Paradise Lodge. Check in and arrive at your rooms. Enjoy the afternoon at Paradise with a hike, a dip in Paradise Creek, or maybe a nap swinging in a hammock.
Day 4 Last Day

Raft from Paradise to Foster Bar take out. This is your departure day you’ll head to the takeout at Foster Bar (near Agness, Oregon) at 2 pm. See takeout instructions below.

Foster Bar Take Out

Takeout is at 2 pm. Foster Bar is 26 miles from the city of Gold Beach and the Pacific Ocean. Morrisons Rogue Wilderness Adventure vans will pick you up and bring you back to our offices. However, you can have your car shuttled for an additional $115, so you can visit the Redwoods or other parts of the Oregon Coast.
